New and Existing Permitted Projects

Starting July 1, 2010, any project that has an existing SWPPP Permit under  the old 99-08-DWQ that has not filed a Notice of Termination will be terminated.  All Dischargers now covered by the current permit that cannot file a Notice of Termination (NOT) before July 1, 2010 must electronicaly re-certify their existing WDID along with uploading a copy of their Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP) no later than July 1, 2010 or  will be in violation of the new permit. When the existing permit is re-certified it will be entered as a Risk Level 1 discharge. Owners of new and existing projects can sign up and certify / re-certify at http://smarts.waterboards.ca.gov/smarts/faces/SwSmartsLogin.jsp. Once the Notice of Intent has been electronically filed and a WDID number has been issued / assigned for your project, you will need to assign a Qualified Data Submitter (QSD). To do so, login with your account and goto the main menu. Click "Manage Data Submittors" then "Link new Data Submitter".  Type in the username of your Data Submitter and then associate the WDID you wish them to hace acces to.

Existing and New Projects less than 1 Acre

Any site under 1 acre does not need to file a NOI or Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan, however, all projects within the Fresno Metropolotian Flood Control District (FMFCD) Urban Area are still subject to District Stormwater Management Ordinance (96-1).

Existing Projects that will be finished Prior to July 1, 2010

Any projects that are currently active and will file a Notice of  Termination BEFORE July 1, 2010, can continue complying with the old 99-08-DWQ guidelines. However, If you do not file a NOT before July 1, 2010 or re-certify you will be in violation of the new permit.
